Airmen inspect a M983A4 Light Equipment Transport’s (LET) towing a Land-based Phalanx Weapon System (LPWS) before it is loaded on a C-17. The LPWS is an integral part of the Counter-Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM) system that has kept U.S. and coalition troops safe from attacks for several years.
