Naval Aircrewman (Mechanical) 1st Class Brittnay Drake, a Sailor attached to Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 1, swims to shore during the 2024 “Knife Race” at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, Wash., Sep. 18, 2024. The “Knife Race” was hosted by Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129 as part of the Commodore’s Cup for Growler week with participants from various squadrons located at NAS Whidbey Island. The race consisted of 10 stations along a running course that tested the participants aircrew survival skills.
