Lt. Cmdr. John Brennan, from Nashville, Tennessee, divisional officer of air department’s flight deck crash and salvage division, and Lt. Sarah Amorio, from Petaluma, California, divisional officer of air department’s primary flight control division, signal an F/A-18F Super Hornet, attached to the Flying Eagles of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 122, to take off from the flight deck of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) while underway in the Pacific Ocean, Sept. 25, 2024. As an integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet operates naval forces in the Indo-Pacific in addition to providing realistic and relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy’s timeless roles of sea control and power projection.
