Japan Air Self-Defense Force airmen assigned to the Naha Air Rescue Squadron survey an HH-60W Jolly Green II assigned to the 33rd Rescue Squadron during a base tour hosted by the 18th Maintenance Group at Kadena Air Base, Japan, Sept. 12, 2024. The U.S. Air Force is currently phasing out the HH-60G Pave Hawk in favor of the HH-60W, an aircraft equipped with an enhanced avionics package and superior equipment.
