U.S. Army heavy expanded mobility tactical trucks (HEMTT) assigned to the LaGrange-based 1177th Transportation Company, 265th Chemical Battalion, 201st Regional Support Group, Georgia Army National Guard, prepare to deliver supplies to those affected by Hurricane Helene, Oct. 1, 2024, at the Macon State Farmer’s Market in Macon, Georgia. The Georgia National Guard is providing response and recovery support to areas impacted by Hurricane Helene. The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) is the lead agency.
