A U.S. Army Soldier assigned to the 93rd Military Police Battalion goes through the patrol lane tasks as part of the Expert Infantryman, Expert Soldier, and Expert Field Medical Badge, simply known as E3B, event held at Fort Bliss, Texas, Sept. 16, 2024. E3B candidates are required to perform several military patrol tasks including map reading, personnel searching, visual signaling, movement under fire, radio operations and Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) gear as part of the overall assessment to earn the respective badges. More than 900 Soldiers assigned to the 1st Armored Division and various Fort Bliss units took part in the weeklong E3B event held from September 16-20, 2024. The E3B is a rigorous series of physical and combat tasks that tested Soldiers abilities and knowledge in several key tasks to include patrol skills, weapons familiarization and medical tasks.
