Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin visited the Regional Coordination Center (RCC) in Abingdon, Va. to personally greet leaders from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), FEMA, and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM). During the engagement, Gov. Youngkin expressed deep gratitude for their presence, support, and coordinated efforts in response to Hurricane Helene. Representatives from each organization then explained their assessments and considerations in devising recovery solutions.
