U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Jason Fryman, commanding general of the Georgia Army National Guard, and Command Sgt. Maj. John Ballenger, state command sergeant major of the Georgia Army National Guard, receive patches from the New Jersey All Hazard Incident Management Team Oct. 6, 2024, in Macon, Georgia. The Georgia National Guard is providing response and recovery support to areas impacted by Hurricane Helene. The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) is the lead agency.
