Maryland Army National Guard 2nd Lieutenant Sean Abbasi, assigned to Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, serves as a liasion officer for National Guard flying operations during Hurricane Helene relief efforts at Mid-Carolina Regional Airport, Salisbury North Carolina, October 5, 2024. The Maryland Army National Guard sent 14 Soldiers, one UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter and one CH-47 Chinook helicopter to North Carolina over the past week delivering supplies and rescuing survivors in areas that were impacted in Western North Carolina.
