YOKOSUKA, Japan (October 6, 2024) - Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) hosted the 46th Annual Yokosuka Friendship Day throughout the installation October 6, 2024. Yokosuka Friendship Day is the installation’s largest open base event with the commanding officer inviting local Japanese community members inside the gates to celebrate the friendship between the U.S. and Japan with base community members here. The day-long festival included carnival games, live music, food trucks, and was capped off with a fireworks show hosted by the City of Yokosuka in the bay between CFAY's Berkey Field and the city’s Umikaze Park.
