Spc. Yetel Fugon, an automated logistics specialist assigned to the 856th Quartermaster Company, works in the unified logistics operations center of Florida’s State Logistics Response Center (SLRC) in Orlando, Florida, Oct. 8, 2024. Fugon is serving as a liaison for the Florida Army National Guard in its coordinating efforts with the Florida Department of Emergency Management and other emergency response organizations in preparation for Hurricane Milton’s landfall. The SLRC is a warehouse that provides approximately 200,000 square feet to store water, food and other emergency commodities that are transported to impacted areas throughout Florida in response to natural disasters.
