The National Space Defense Center hosts members of the Department of the Air Force Secretariat during a CORONA Space Immersion Day at Schriever Space Force Base, Colo., Oct. 4, 2024. CORONA participants toured the base and interacted directly with U.S. Space Force units to showcase specific USSF mission areas, to include the NSDC. The NSDC, with support from Space Delta 15, is one of two subordinate command and control commands executing operations under the U.S. Space Forces-Space commander’s Combined Joint Force Space Component Commander authorities. The S4S mission is to plan, integrate, conduct, and assess global space operations to deliver combat relevant space effects, in, from, and to space for combatant commanders, coalition partners, the joint force, and the nation.
