James Phillips, of Riverhead, N.Y., both of Company B, 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, during the company's counter IED training class, Feb. 9, 2013, in the Kingdom of Thailand during the annual exercise Cobra Gold. The training will help improve joint interoperability between members of the U.S. military and the Royal Thai army.
