PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 11, 2024) - Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro gives remarks to local news following a visit to the USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) during a demonstration of the Transferable Rearming Mechanism VLS Reloading At-Sea with the USS Chosin (CG-65), Oct. 11, 2024. SECNAV’s prioritization of reloading at-sea capabilities brought increased effort and resources to the project. Completion of these demonstrations show proof of concept and informs future technical requirements for full VLS reload at-sea capabilities.
