This is the 32nd Cobra Gold which is one of the largest annual multinational exercise in the Asia-Pacific region. It is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals. Approximately 13,000 personnel from the U.S., Singapore, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia and observers from China, Brunei, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates are participating in the exercise.
