BAY OF BENGAL (Oct. 17, 2024) – The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), foreground, sails alongside the Indian Navy Kamorta-class corvette INS Kamorta (P 28) in the Bay of Bengal during Exercise Malabar 2024 on Oct. 17. Malabar 24 is a combined field training exercise with the Royal Australian Navy, Indian Navy, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and U.S. Navy participants. The exercise is designed to support achievement of strategic objectives by strengthening partnerships in the Indo-Pacific and promoting interoperability in the conduct of complex warfighting operations.
