U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Juntor Santiago and Staff Sgt. Victor Martinez, recruiters with Recruiting Sub-Station Oklahoma City North, exchange the Deer Creek High School game day football prior to a dedication ceremony of the Deer Creek High School football stadium in Edmond, Okla., Oct. 11, 2024. The Deer Creek High School football stadium was dedicated and renamed in honor of U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Tyler Tidwell, a graduate of Deer Creek High School, who lost his battle to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2022. Marines with Recruiting Station Oklahoma City ran the game day ball from Maj. Tidwell’s childhood home to Deer Creek High School before the dedication ceremony and football game. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Lennon Dregoiw)
