NORTH SEA (Oct. 19, 2024) Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Mechanical) 3rd Class Mark Sinchi, a native of Bronx, New York, uses a Navy infrared thermal imager (NIFTI) to detect simulated hot spots during a general quarters drill aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64), Oct. 19. USS Gettysburg, assigned to The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG), is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations supporting U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
