Kennedy (CVN 79), explains orders with a recruit from the ship’s sponsored division, Division 304, during a visit to Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Oct. 15. The division sponsorship program gives commands the opportunity to support recruits through their boot camp journey to becoming Sailors. John F. Kennedy is the second Ford-class aircraft carrier and is under construction at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division in Newport News, Virginia.
