Brig. Gen. Diane Dunn, Maine Commissioner of the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management, and Adjutant General, congratulates Brig. Gen. Ian Gillis on his promotion and command of the Maine Air National Guard during a ceremony at the Bangor Air National Guard Base on Oct. 20, 2024, where he assumed command from Maj. Gen. Frank Roy. Gillis, of Glenburn, joined the Maine Air National Guard in 1988 and will now oversee the readiness and employment of almost 1,200 Airmen assigned to the MEANG.
