NORFOLK, Va. (September 25, 2024) The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush’s (CVN 77) aircraft crash and salvage crane, known as “Tilly”, is transported back from Naval Station Norfolk to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Sept. 25, 2024. USS George H.W. Bush is undergoing a planned incremental availability to increase lethality and survivability, and to complete preservation and upgrades for future operations.
