Christophe Roberts, a transmissions system operator with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, adjusts a very small aperture terminal to establish communication during exercise Keen Sword 25 at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Oct. 25, 2024. MAG-12 practiced establishing command and control capabilities under expeditionary conditions. Keen Sword is a biennial, joint and bilateral field-training exercise involving U.S. military and Japan Self-Defense Forces personnel, designed to increase readiness and interoperability while strengthening the ironclad U.S.-Japan alliance.
