Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory Supports U.S.-Japan Readiness at Keen Sword 25

From right, U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Jason B. Hibler, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory Experiment Division Concept Development Team 1 lead, explains the operation of the lightweight, mobile, and cost-effective radar system to Col. Peter B. Eltringham, 12th Marine Littoral Regiment commanding officer, as part of Keen Sword 25, Oct. 27, 2024 at Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan. Keen Sword is a biennial, joint and bilateral field-training exercise involving U.S. military and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, designed to increase readiness and interoperability while strengthening the ironclad U.S.-Japan alliance. During Keen Sword, the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory leveraged the exercise environment to work with emerging concepts, technologies, and capabilities, providing valuable insights to advance joint interoperability and operational effectiveness in support of the U.S.-Japan alliance.
