STENNIS SPACE CENTER, MIss. -- U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Brig. Gen. John K. Jarrard, commanding general of the 4th Marine Division, and staff members from U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) and 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion recently visited Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training (NAVSCIATTS) facilities located on the John C. Stennis Space Center.
The visit included a brief on NAVSCIATTS’ security cooperation training mission, a command tour, and a riverine craft and training range familiarization. During the tour, the MARFORRES staff members interacted with NAVSCIATTS instructors to learn about the command’s operational, strategic, and tactical courses of instruction.
NAVSCIATTS operates under U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command in support of geographic combatant commanders’ theater security cooperation priorities. To date, this historic command has trained with more than 14,000 foreign security force professionals from 129 partner nations. (U.S. Navy photo by Sharon M. Mock)
