The island-wide tsunami evacuation drill is conducted annually to allow local residents to enter military installations where they will be provided with a safe and secure location. The drill aimed to enhance procedures and protocols for the personnel involved on the installation and local communities in the event of a natural disaster. Pronenko is a native of Illinois.
