U.S. Marine Corps explosive ordnance disposal technicians with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, lower an anchor in preparation for a static fire of a high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) at Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 4, 2024. The static fire enabled Marines to collect critical performance data to confirm the system’s readiness for operational use.
