U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Robert Sofge, commanding general, Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa, visits the USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), in Naval Support Activity Souda Bay, Greece, Nov. 11, 2024. The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) and Wasp Amphibious Ready Group are on a scheduled deployment to U.S. Naval Forced Europe and Africa area of operations to support U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region, including in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
