U.S. Navy Cmdr. Jon A. Angle, a public works officer with Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, briefs the foreign Naval Attachés on the capabilities of the microgrid during a tour at MCAS Miramar, California, Nov. 6, 2024. The microgrid provides energy resiliency to MCAS Miramar and allows it to operate mission-critical facilities if the local San Diego-area power grid is compromised or damaged. The tour introduced attachés to 3rd MAW and I MEF operations, educating 22 foreign military officers on Department of the Navy capabilities and building cohesion amongst various partnered and allied nations and the U.S Navy.
