Personnel Specialist Second Class (Surface Warfare/Aviation Warfare) Raymond S. Aleman, United States Navy, was awarded for meritorious service while serving as Student Control Department Leading Petty Officer, at Officer Training Command Newport, from June 2021 to July 2024.
Petty Officer Aleman’s exemplary leadership and technical expertise led to the timely and accurate processing of 21,456 pay and personnel transactions for over 10,000 new accession officers, contributing to fleet readiness and mission success. While serving at OTCN Petty Officer Aleman oversaw the update of 745 student profiles in the defense enrollment eligibility reporting system, ensuring access to Tricare benefits.
His exceptional customer service and superior performance resulted in his selection for commissioning through the officer candidate school program.
Previously, Petty Officer Aleman completed Officer Candidate School at Officer Training Command Newport and was commissioned this same day as Ensign (ENS) Raymond S. Aleman, United States Navy. Commissioned Officers are members of the Navy or Navy Reserve who lead and manage the Navy.
ENS Aleman’s professionalism, perseverance, and devotion to duty reflected credit on him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
