Gavin Joint Innovation Outpost naming ceremony at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, Nov. 14, 2024. Lt. Gen. James M. Gavin, a World War II hero and the Army's first Head of Research and Development, was known for pioneering airborne warfare and championing military innovation.
