American Legion Post #19 has staged Yuma, Arizona's 's large Veterans Day parade for decades, and U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) personnel always appear in full force.
Led by YPG Commander Col. John Nelson with wife Gina and Command Sgt. Maj. Mark Millare, Soldiers from YPG's Airborne Test Force marched through the crowded streets on November 11, 2024. Col. and Mrs. Nelson rode in a 1992 Pontiac Trans Am convertible modeled after KITT in the original "Knight Rider" TV series driven by Craig Higgins.
