YOKOSUKA, Japan (Nov. 14, 2024) — Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Gerard Leguarda, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86), poses for a photo after receiving a naturalization certificate during a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services naturalization ceremony hosted by Region Legal Service Office Western Pacific, at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka's (CFAY) Community Readiness Center. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
