Builder 2nd Class Justin Lieder, assigned to Underwater Construction Team 2, chips away concrete with a pneumatic chipping hammer in order to attach cable to the existing rebar to be able to integrate it into the new cathodic protection system being installed by UCT 2. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment ALFA is working on Hotel Pier during their six-month deployment across the Pacific, taking them to Pearl Harbor, Timor-Leste, South Korea and the Marshall Islands.
