241118-N-DL824-1046 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 18, 2024) An E/A-18G Growler, attached to the “Main Battery” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 144, right, an F/A-18F Super Hornet, attached to the “Red Rippers” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11, center, and an F/A-18E Super Hornet, attached to the “Knighthawks” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 136, conduct an aerial change of command ceremony for Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1, Nov. 18. Capt. Brad Converse was relieved by Capt. Leslie Mintz as commander of CVW-1 during an aerial change of command ceremony. USS Harry S. Truman, the flagship of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG), is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations supporting U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa to defend U.S., Allied and partner interests.
