U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Zane Clark, a troposcatter transmissions system operator, left, and Lance Cpl. Brady Collins, a satellite transmissions system operator, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, set up satellite systems during a communication exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 19, 2024. Marines with the 31st MEU were paired with instructors from Deploying Group Systems Integration Testing to ensure that the Marines are efficient in functioning Command, Control, Communications and Computer equipment and are prepared for real-world contingencies. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
