The Marine Depot Maintenance Command Production Plant Barstow held their cake cutting ceremony, celebrating the Marine Corps 249th birthday, at the Yermo Annex aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, California, November 20. Colonel Kirk Spangenberg, commanding officer of MDMC, led the ceremony by serving the first slice of cake to the oldest Marine in attendance, retired Staff Sergeant Jermel Johnson, artillery quality control inspector, and youngest Marine Lance Corporal Izak Cortez, 1st Force Storage battalion chain/material management specialist.
