Dr. Frank Narducci, professor and chair of the NPS Department of Physics, is leading the installation of an atomic fountain in NPS’ Spanagel Hall. The extremely precise atomic instrument, slated to be one of the largest of its kind when complete in 2025, will provide NPS students, faculty and research partners with a host of defense applications and capabilities in quantum sensing.
