The Alabama National Guard’s 158th Support Maintenance Company from Tallassee returned home, Nov. 21, 2024, from a 408-day deployment to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the nation’s southwest border. The CBP is responsible for apprehending individuals attempting to enter the United States illegally in order to prevent the flow of illegal drugs and other contraband that could harm America’s citizens and soil.
