The Buffalo District, partners, and stakeholders got together for the second year in a row for another trip around the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative funded Phosphorus Optimal Wetland Demonstration project, leading groups of sixth graders through the different features of the site, Defiance, Ohio, Oct. 4, 2024.
This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center project works to improve the understanding of how nutrients like Phosphorus can be retained on the land scape, instead of in the Great Lakes contributing to Harmful Algal Bloom development.
