Rear Adm. Paul Jung, assistant commandant for Health, Safety and Work-life (CG-1K), U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and Rear. Adm. Shane Steiner, the executive director of Health Services for the Coast Guard, attended a scheduled meeting with the leadership of the Navy and Marine Corps Force Health Protection Command (NMCFHPC) during a tour of the NMCFHPC on Nov. 20, 2024. During their meeting, NMCFHPC leaders briefed the visitors on the capabilities and functions of the command. The briefing addressed how relationships with the Coast Guard have evolved with the Defense Health Agency (DHA) assuming some public health responsibilities, as well as updates on current service agreements and future plans.
