U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Michelle Calvo, a laboratory technician with 2nd Medical Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, and a native of Miami, applies a tight band to a simulated patient on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 11, 2024. Calvo was selected as warrior of the week for her hard work and dedication as the training section lead, ensuring her platoon completed necessary fiscal and annual training. When asked what advice she would give to anyone who wants to be a Warrior of the Week, Calvo said, “When there's nothing to do, instead of sitting around, go out and look for opportunities, something will always be there, and that’s how you get recognized.” Each week, 2nd MLG recognizes one outstanding Marine or Sailor that goes above and beyond in their duties and embodies the qualities of an outstanding service member.
