241107-N-TF068-1001 BURGAS NAVAL BASE, Bulgaria (Nov 7. 2024) - U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technicians, assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8, demonstrate the Shark Marine Navigator during Exercise Poseidon 24. EODMU 8 is part of the forward deployed Navy Expeditionary Combat Force Europe-Africa/Task Force 68. CTF 68 is responsible for providing explosive ordnance disposal operations, naval construction, expeditionary security and theater security efforts to U.S. Naval Forces Europe-U.S. Naval Forces Africa and U.S. 6th Fleet. Poseidon is an annual mine countermeasure exercise hosted in the Black Sea with key NATO Allies to enhance interoperability and readiness in the Black Sea Region. (U.S. Navy courtesy photo)
