After winning her first gold medal in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, two-time Olympian Torri visited Carderock to express her gratitude for the unwavering support from her mother’s colleagues and the Carderock team. During her visit, Torri reflected on the role that Carderock’s encouragement played in her journey, from local swim lessons to the Olympic stage. “Your support and positive energy helped make a difference,” Torri shared with Carderock employees. Carderock, the Navy's innovation and ship design powerhouse, is a world-class research and development facility specializing in critical ship design components.
