Jared Egbert (left), Associate Director of the Statistics and Epidemiology Branch and Associate Chief of Medical Standards Analytics and Research, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), at the end of Maj. Egbert’s promotion ceremony, held at WRAIR in Silver Spring, Maryland, November 27, 2024. Maj. Egbert was promoted from captain to major, and was joined by his wife, his five children, his sister, his brother-in-law, and his nephew, as well as friends and coworkers, for the ceremony. Maj. Egbert’s brother-in-law, Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Steven D. Randle, former commander, 5th Combat Weather Group, led the ceremony and administered the Oath of Office. Maj. Egbert also spoke in appreciation of his family, friends, and coworkers, and presented several heartfelt gifts to his children and his wife.
