A U.S. Marine with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC) is welcomed home to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina following a seven-month deployment to the U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa area of operations, Dec. 3, 2024. Embarked on the Navy’s Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, the 24th MEU (SOC) supported U.S., Allied, and partner interest in the region, including the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, to promote regional stability and deter aggression.
