A U.S. Marine with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC) reunites with his family after returning to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina following a seven-month deployment to U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa area of operations, Dec. 3, 2024. Embarked on the Navy’s Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, the 24th MEU (SOC) supported U.S., Allied, and partner interests in the region, including the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, to promote regional stability and deter aggression.
