    A Naval History and Heritage Command Historian Dr. John E. Fahey leads a tour focusing on the critical role of U.S. Navy destroyer escorts during World War II at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, Oct. 25, 2024. This tour, lead jointly by the ANC History Office and the Naval History and Heritage Command, included visits to gravesites at ANC of sailors who fought in the Battle of Samar – one of the largest naval battles in history which occurred on Oct. 25, 1944.
