Maj. Christopher Lilly, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, Joint Forces Headquarters, West Virginia Army National Guard, is awarded with the Norwegian Foot March Badge in Charleston, West Virginia, Dec. 8, 2024. The Norwegian Foot March is a demanding test that Service members volunteer for where they attempt to complete a 18.6-mile course while carrying a 24 pound rucksack. The competitors who complete the march are awarded with a badge for their accomplishment. The foot march was held September 8, 2024, and was the first time that HHD-JFHQ hosted such an event. The official results were submitted to the U.S. Embassy for vetting and were pending final approval before the competitors were able to be awarded the badge officially.
