A change of command ceremony is a military tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility for a unit’s commanding officer. The mission of the 163d ATKW is to provide dedicated, disciplined, and diverse guardsmen ready to defend California, the nation and local communities from any threats that compromise the safety, security and well-being of citizens and allies.
