Junior Marines were given the opportunity to seek advice and learn from older female Marines during the celebration of 70 years of women in the Marine Corps held at Parris Island’s 4th Recruit Training Battalion on March 1, 2013. More experienced Marines shared their stories and history in the Corps with those who are set to be the Corps’ future. Parris Island began training female Marine recruits in 1949, and today 4th RTBn. is the home of all female enlisted recruit training for Marines.
